She was just 16 years old when she created her first website (using Angelfire and Notepad, of course). Since then, Manda’s developed user interfaces, marketing material and identity collateral for everyone from startups to major corporations.
Her experience includes working as a solo designer, collaborating within a large production team, and leading a department of junior designers, interns and photographers.
Manda proudly served as the creative director for Austin’s RAD Office Tour, a workspace design tour that showcased some of the city’s diverse company cultures and office interiors. Most recently, she designed training guides for Whole Foods Market’s global support team. She also runs a delightful Etsy shop.
Ever since she wrote her first LiveJournal entry in the early 00’s, Manda has continued to grow her skills. She graduated cum laude with a BFA from Texas State University and continues to study the evolution of user experience, user research and prototyping.
Outside of work, you can find Manda behind the microphone or at the drum set. She also has mad karaoke skills. (Buy her a Dark and Stormy and ask her to sing Chop Suey by System of a Down. It will blow your mind.)
She also has a toddler named Naomi who is strong-willed, creative and left-handed, just like Mom. Manda has always wanted to travel to Japan and can’t wait to show Naomi where the Kawaii aesthetic originated. This Japanese culture of cuteness inspired Manda to become a designer when she was a preteen — and for that, we will be eternally grateful.
